The Coronas, The Academic and the Chieftains confirmed for the visit of President Biden to Ballina

The US Ambassador to Ireland, Claire D. Cronin has just announced the entertainment line-up for the evening of Friday, April 14, when US President Joe Biden will address the public at St Muredach’s Cathedral at the end of his visit to Ireland.
Performing on the night from 7pm will be Irish rock bands The Coronas, and The Academic, and acclaimed traditional Irish folk band The Chieftains will reunite one last time for a very special performance, the first since their leader Paddy Moloney died in 2021.

The Chieftains also played at President Biden’s visit to Ireland as Vice-President back in 2016.

Gates for the event will open at 5.30pm, with the official programme of events beginning at 7pm.
Security screening measures will be in place at site entry points and large bags and umbrellas are among the items prohibited.
