Culture Night in Ballina 2023 – the biggest and best yet! See the full line-up here

This year’s Culture Night on September 22 is set to be the biggest and best yet in Ballina, with no fewer than FIVE fantastic events taking place to mark Ireland’s National Night of Culture.
Culture Night / Oíche Chultúir is brought to you by the Arts Council; it is a national moment, celebrating culture, creativity and the arts and seeks to actively promote the belief that this rich and varied culture is alive, treasured and nurtured in people’s lives, today and every day.
It is delivered nationwide in cities, towns, villages and rural locations as well as online. All activities are available to the public, free of charge!
So, what’s happening?
4pm - 7pm:
RHA West Special Culture Night Opening
Municipal Gallery at Ballina Civic Offices
RHA West is an exhibition featuring work of all 44 RHA members – Ireland’s greatest living artists.
It is the first time all 44 members have exhibited together outside Dublin. Presented by Ballina 2023 and Ballina Arts Centre.
5pm - 8pm:
Crossing the Threshold: A Feast of Creativity
The Jackie Clarke Collection
Three special interlinked events to mark 10 years of the Jackie Clarke Collection. Featuring poetry with poet-in-residence Martin Dyar, music with Bofield CCE, Irish Dance with Atlantic Rhythm School of Dance and craft with Ballina Costume Company.
9pm - 12pm
Ballina 2023 presents Sounds on Site for Culture Night Late
The Plaza at Market Square

A night of sensational live music performances with Doppler, Sweetlemondae, Landless and Steo Wall!

The Munnelly McGowan Duo
Ballina Arts Centre
Ballina Arts Centre is delighted to present the amazing Munnelly McGowan duo for your late night listening pleasure on Culture Night 2023.
9pm - LATE: THENCF presents Donal Dineen
Katie’s Corner
Cultural co-operative THENCF presents legendary alternative DJ Donal Dineen. Music starts at 9pm-ish with THENCFer Paul Barrett.
