Moy Singers Spring Concert – Sunday, April 23

Sunday, April 23,
8pm Great National Hotel, Ballina
With Special Guest: Brídín
The Moy Singers Spring Concert will take place on Sunday, April 23rd at 8pm in Great National Hotel, Ballina, after a long break of three years.
According to the choir’s chairperson, Margaret Kelly, the members can’t wait to get back on stage. “Choir members have been working hard for months to prepare a new programme which includes a wonderful variety of four-part harmony pieces. We are back and our goal is to entertain!”
She went on to say, “The programme includes old favourites like, “What a Wonderful World”, “When I’m 64”, and, “Mack the Knife”. There are lots of new pieces too including a power ballad from the 80’s, a popular U2 anthem and some not to be missed performances from groups within the choir.”
This year the choir is honoured to welcome, BRÍDÍN as their guest. A native of west Sligo, BRÍDÍN is a fourth-generation traditional Irish music artist. She released her breathtaking self-titled debut album in October 2022 and has performed on many high-profile TV and Radio shows including The Late Late Show, The Tommy Tiernan Show and Ray D’Arcy Show.
BRÍDÍN has a unique link with the Moy Singers as her mother Eileen Donagher McGowan was Musical Director, from 1995 to 1997..
