The planning of Ballina 2023 is being supported by a number of key partners.
Mayo County Council
When the proposal to celebrate this 300 year milestone was raised at a meeting of the Ballina Municipal District in 2019, it received the enthusiastic support of both councillors and council management.
Mayo County Council is our lead partner, offering significant support to Ballina 2023 both at a financial and practical level.
Ballina Chamber of Commerce
Ballina Chamber of Commerce exists to promote and support the economic well-being of local businesses, in particular that of its members in Ballina and its surrounds.
Its vision is to create a dynamic business climate in Ballina in which entrepreneurial flair can flourish, and its aim is to achieve a consensus for the strategic development of the town as an attractive place to do business, live and visit.
Ballina Chamber will be contributing to the strategic visioning element of Ballina 2023, as well as supporting the overall project.
Mayo North Tourism
Great places to visit are first and foremost, great places to live.
Mayo North Tourism exists to work collaboratively with stakeholders to promote North Mayo and its hinterlands as a year-round tourism destination, showcasing its culture and heritage.
Just as The Gathering succeeded in attracting hundreds of thousands of people to Ballina in 2013, Mayo North Tourism is working in partnership with Ballina 2023 to ensure that this year-long celebration becomes an opportunity for people from all the world over to learn about and visit Ballina to celebrate with our community.
